David has an LLB honours degree from the University of Leicester and attended the College of Law in York. He trained in Newcastle and qualified in 2003. He joined Gibson & Co in 2008 after a period working for another local law firm.

David was brought up in Northumberland and now lives near Morpeth with his wife Nicola. He is a great lover of the countryside and has a keen interest in rural matters.

Keen on the theatre David can often be found at the Theatre Royal in the evening and is a regular at RSC productions when they visit Newcastle.

Also he has a love for vintage cars and is currently the proud owner of a vintage 1966 Jaguar, which often keeps him busy at the weekend.

David is a specialist in Private Client work, which includes Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Capital Tax Planning.  He has been approved as a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is a fully qualified Trusts & Estate Practioner (TEP).

He also deals with Commercial Property and Agricultural Law issues for clients.
